For so many of us, Microsoft technology offered a little bit of levity, connection, and joy in 2020. But what about our furry friends who stayed home all year with us? What if they could enjoy the fun of Microsoft worlds, too?

All it took was a dog named Rufus to bring Microsoft’s four biggest properties (Minecraft, Halo, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Flight Simulator) together for the first time ever.

 
 

MINECRAFT DOGTOPIA

We worked with the creators at Blockworks to make the Minecraft world from our film a reality. Fans could download, play and explore among doggie hot air balloons, bacon trees, a fire hydrant fountain and a canine Mount Rushmore (and explore they did).

 

FLIGHT SIMULATOR: 12 DAYS OF LIGHTS

With the Microsoft Flight Simulator product team, we added some holiday magic into the real game. For the 12 days leading up to Christmas, we decked out 12 cities with surprise holiday light displays. Fans went on a global scavenger hunt, resulting in countless YouTube videos, forum discussions and tweets.
